DPVN stands for D’EE’P Vision Network. D’EE’P Vision Network is a nexus of content giving independent producers, writers and directors of color a broader opportunity for their works to be seen.
Our mission is to support, empower and expose artists, their works and creativity.
Our goal is to raise the diverse consciousness of thought. Art is healing, educational. and entertaining. Our goal is to express that through minds that do not have total access to mainstream vehicles.
OUR DIGITAL GOALS:
In 2016 we plan to surpass our 2014 network stats, where we ended the year reaching 84 countries and having an average monthly reach of 65,000 viewers.
We will be more interactive with our viewers in 2016. As we have built stronger collaborations with a conference producer and created spin-offs from the event, this will help create, not only online interaction, but live interaction with current and new DPVN fans.
D’EE’P Vision was conceived, December 2004. On January 9, 2005, D’EE’P Vision recorded its first 20 min. talk show, hosted by Chandra Rushmore. Interviews were with locally known independent artists and were filmed out of Kori's living room, in Brooklyn, NY. Content was recorded, edited, and posted in an html scripted website called anotherdeepdesign.com. On November 2009, DPVN had an Up-Front in Harlem, NY. The introduction of DPVN.net with nine content producers, presented their content to a live audience.
